Stipple Studio — turn an image into a pen drawing of thousands of dots or lines for a Cricut cutting machine

Sample: self-portraitClick, drop or paste an image (JPG / PNG / SVG)

Vector source

Replace the image with an SVG that follows the movement of its lines

The SVG is traced once and kept. While it's on, every style draws along the directions of the original drawing instead of a straight grid.

Offset rows (more even solid blacks)

Every black pixel of the photocopy becomes one pen dot. With the grid close to the dot size, dark areas come out solid.

The pen traces the outline of each circle. A tiny circle plus the pen's width makes one dot.

How to upload and draw

Upload → Upload Image → choose the SVG.
On the canvas: Operation → Pen (Draw), and choose your pen.
Check the size matches the paper you picked here.
Several files: upload them all, select → Align → Align Top + Align Left (the alignment dots keep the same frame), then Attach.
Etching uses open lines. Design Space may trace each line twice (there and back). It doesn't harm the drawing, it just takes longer.
